Our Programmes

Self-Regulation

The OESR programme aims to ensure that NGOs maximise their contributions to development in Zimbabwe through the establishment of a conducive operating environment.

Capacity Development

The developmental and watchdog roles of civil society in Zimbabwe are extremely critical given the multi-layered socio-economic and political challenges in Zimbabwe. NGO leadership development in such areas as corporate governance, transformational leadership, advocacy, negotiation, and effective programming approaches particularly rights based and participatory, as well as other empowerment approaches required in such a difficult environment, should be a priority issue for NANGO.

Poverty and Development

Since 2000, social service delivery in Zimbabwe has been characterised by collapsing health, housing, water and sanitation, and education systems; strained social protection mechanisms, crumbling infrastructure and many other forms of humanitarian crises compounded by weak governance, poor policy options, economic free-fall, poverty, HIV and AIDs, droughts and ill-planned programmes such as Operation Restore Order.

Comcn & Networking

This programme seeks to create platforms and market places for information and knowledge sharing and exchange on operations of civil society organisations as well as on other development topics between and among civil society organisations in and outside Zimbabwe and with other various publics.
